Pre-gelatinized starch is also called α-starch, whic is a simple process, extensive use of modified starch, as long as the application of cold water into a paste, eliminating the heating pasting trouble. Widely used in medicine, food, cosmetics, animal feed, oil drilling, metal casting, textile, paper and many other industries. Starch granules at an appropriate temperature (the desired temperature of various starch sources different, generally 60 ~ 80ºC) swell in water, split to form a uniform paste solution effect is called gelatinization. Nature gelatinization of starch granules of starch molecules ordered and disordered hydrogen bonds (crystalline and amorphous) state is disconnected, dispersed in water to become colloidal solution.
